UK law covering websites has recently changed. You now have legal obligations to the user of your website that you may be unaware of.

 What has changed?
From the 1st January 2007, all companies are now required to display on their websites their company's full name, registered number, registered office and place of incorporation. This is an extension of the existing rules that require companies to include these details on all business letters and order forms.

A further change in the law requires that the company's full corporate name appears on all correspondence, notices, order forms and other publications made by the company regardless of the format in which these communications are made. In particular, the law now makes it clear that the company's full name must also appear where these documents are sent out by electronic means (e.g. by email or fax or by posting them on a website).

Could your website do with an overhaul? In most cases your web pages can be easily and simply modified. If you have any doubts about these changes please contact us for a no-obligation discussion of the options available to you.
